This week at AQ we're celebrating St. Thomas Aquinas Week, where we celebrate his birthday all week with various events. That's quite the birthday week huh? I love the free cake in the lobby they have on Mondays. But, today is also another important day.

Don't let the weather deceive you

TGIF! It's been a long week and I'm so glad it's the weekend. Not only because there's no classes but also it's a nice break to just be inside and not do anything or brace the bitter cold.

It snowed for the first time last week (well, snowed and actually stayed I should say). It finally felt like winter in Michigan, especially at Aquinas College.

SOPA & PIPA Dilema

I have an opinion. It might not be as "out there" as others, but I still have one. I take advantage of sites like Facebook, Twitter, and of course my lovely blog, to express what I'm thinking. Beats a personal diary right? Although I know the difference and there are some things that I would never post online.

My new addiction to Pinterest

Ah, the old alma mater

Today I went back to my old high school, Lake Leelanau St. Mary. Luckily I wasn't the only alumni student there so it wasn't as awkward. It was definitely weird going back because I spent thirteen years at that school. If I learned anything from today is that I'm grateful for where I grew up, but I don't want to go back there AT ALL.

I'll miss you big brother

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted, lots of things going on in my life. Namely, the new year and my brother moving to Oakland, CA. Normally as the first post of the year people reflect on how they want to keep their resolutions and how different the year promises to be. Since Mike is moving, that will be a big change in my life. He recently got a job working with the Oakland Athletics. Before he lived in Grand Rapids and worked a bunch of part time jobs.
