Last year was a country band from Detroit called Annabelle Road (pictured above with me and my friend Tatiana. Hard to believe so much has changed from last year, and my hair, it was so short! Sorry, I'm rambling). This year, it was the Second City Improv Troupe. With many notable alum such as Tina Fey, Billy Murray, and Steve Carrell, AQ was very exicted to have them performing. One of my favorite videos by them is by their main company called Hogwarts: Which House Are You? The Second City I saw wasn't their main one, it was a touring company, which some people didn't realize when they first heard Second City was coming.
Of course, I find this funny because, being the Harry Potter nerd I am, I was sorted into Hufflepuff, and while no one knows exactly what the hell a Hufflepuff is, they're known for accepting everyone and anyone. Anyway, their show live was fantastic! If you ever get the chance to see them or anything with live theater or Improv, I highly recommend it.
One thing I did miss though was this giant red inflatable chair that everyone got their picture taken with. It was fun seeing how many people could fit on this giant chair all at once. They had a photobooth and a characture artist instead, but it didn't feel the same. All in all, I loved how they used a bigger location for this event. And from what I've heard, nearly 2,000 people attended last night! That's impressive, even for Aquinas.
