I was an Orientation Leader this week for the incoming freshman and transfer students. Here are some of the highlights of #newAQ12 (our official hashtag for Twitter, I think we took it a bit too serious). Remember: Orientation is not sponsored by Budweiser.
This was our first official kick-off for the week. Originally we were suppose to go to the beach, but those plans were ruined due to thunderstorms. Instead, we had a cookout at the Moose Cafe (my bad, Cook Carriage House). I met other OLs, as well as reacquainted myself with familiar faces. Oh icebreaker games how I've missed you so....
We also got our OL partner and group name assignment. My partner is a senior named Chris Skurka, who use to be an RA. I got lucky, since I already knew him before and we've had a class together. Our team name is Regina's Special (named after a coffee drink) and our bandana is Orange Floral. Another familiar face was Claire Chioda, my High 5 Buddy!
